ROOM OF PLENTY COORDINATOR
Davina Dawson, [she/her]
e. ddawson@nwpolytech.ca p. 780.539.2962

Davina comes to NWPTSA with a major in Addictions Counselling from the University of Lethbridge and an (almost) completed certificate as a Sexual Health Educator from the University of Alberta. One day, she hopes to obtain a master's degree from another institution because, like Pokémon, Davina wants to catch them all.
As someone who has done many things in the past and continues to do many things, Davina is terrible at remembering those things and writing them for bios. Despite her terrible memory, she considers herself incredibly privileged to have been able to utilize her passion for youth mental health and advocacy within the Grande Prairie area. Davina loves many things, very passionately. Among the long list of things she loves are: learning, books, games, her cats, and coffee. Not in any particular order.
As the Room of Plenty Coordinator, Davina's goals include creating a shame-free and judgment-free space for those who access the Room of Plenty. She is consistently looking for ways to break down systemic barriers individuals face when accessing social services and believes that everyone is deserving of those services.
If you ever have questions, thoughts, concerns, or simply want to chat, Davina would love to hear from you!
